Story
One year ago I finally decided to wise up and try to get sober. I've not managed this in a straight line. But I've had more sober days than I've ever had before. Take the wee wins.
I am raising funds for two organisations that are close to my heart.
Celtic Feral Cat Welfare - we support feral cats in the community of Aberdeenshire with a TNR scheme. Adhering to the highest standards of practice.
Aboyne Canoe Club - a local group of paddlers who's main mission is to get more people paddling more often. A fantastic group, full of lovely friendly people. Brilliant for mental health and social activity.
On the 17th May 2025 I'm challenging myself to cycle 120 miles in one day from the coastal town of Beer in Devon to Soberton in Hampshire. A symbol of the peaks, troughs, difficulty, and ultimately the reward of the road to sobriety, this event is ultimately a massive celebration of the sober journey! But I'm not doing this alone... I'm part of a beautiful community who are organising this event and is the brain child of both Lauren Burnison and Stu Nugent.
