At nearly 75 years young, Carol is taking on an incredible challenge: strapping herself to the top of an aeroplane and completing a wing walk to raise money for New Leaf Day Care Services!

About New Leaf

New Leaf is a small, local day opportunities service based in Rugeley, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and additional needs. We focus on helping people build confidence, independence, friendships and skills through meaningful activities and opportunities in the local community.

What will Carol’s fundraising help us with?

One of the things at the very top of our wish list is a high-quality portable sound system and microphones.

This might sound like a simple piece of equipment, but it could make a huge difference.

Our performing arts and music activities are growing, and having portable equipment would allow us to take performances beyond New Leaf and out into the community. We would love to give the people we support opportunities to sing, perform and entertain at community events, celebrations and venues across our local community.

For the people taking part, this means opportunities to develop confidence, communication and performance skills, and feel the enormous sense of pride that comes from standing up and showing an audience what they can do. While hopefully bringing plenty of smiles and entertainment along the way!

Any additional money raised will go directly towards equipment, resources and opportunities for the people who attend New Leaf, helping us continue to expand what we can offer.
