Story

I am going to train and run the Pudsey 10K on Sunday 17th June 2018! Those who know me or have met me will know that I am not the "running type" (I'm neither slim or active, lol!) and this is a personal challenge to be fit and ready in less than 5 weeks!

Rawdon Village Scout Group re-opened in September 2017 due to the overwhelming demand for places in the area and is entirely run by volunteers.

The Group currently offers 6 to 10 year olds fun and challenging experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others so that we can make a positive impact to our community. We help young people to reach their potential; develop skills including teamwork, time management, leadership, communication and self-awareness to name a few!

One of the methods of achieving these goals is to offer camping and residential experiences; something that some young people haven't experienced before Scouting.

Unfortunately, being a a new Group means that we currently have no camping equipment in order to take the Young People on camping experiences. Items required include (not an exhaustive list) tents, dining shelters, cooking marquee, stoves, cooking utensils and equipment, cool boxes and storage areas as well as games equipment. All of which doesn't come cheap!

So please dig deep and sponsor me in order to raise some much needed funds for an amazing, dynamic and growing Scout Group!
