I've raised £150 to help The Lang Hedgehog Hotel to rescue tiny, endangered hedgehogs that would otherwise not survive this winter's hibernation period.

Story

Our lovely friend Karen has a big heart. She runs The Lang Hedgehog Hotel (see her Facebook page) with her family and has been rescuing endangered wild hedgehogs for a few years now. Karen knows what she's doing and has been specially trained by experts and vets in helping to protect these endangered creatures.. Hedgehogs have become confused by the warming of the seasons and babies are now being born later and later in the year. Tiny hedgehogs (under 600g) are unlikely to survive hibernation over the winter and are often brought to Karen to be saved, particularly if they are found to be injured or ill.
Helping hedgehogs costs money though - not loads as they only eat cat food (not fish flavour though) and mealworms - but it can add up -especially if you have 10 or 11 to stay at a time and some need special life-saving medicines or treatments. And this winter looks like it's going to be a busy one - Karen's had 5 babies arrive on her doorstep this week already!
Please help by donating just a few quid to help. Karen and her family will do all the 2 hourly feeds, the painstaking tick removal by hand and the runs to the vets, etc. Please could you just help, if you can, by offering a few quid towards their food and medicines? I know the Lang Hedgehog Hotel will be so grateful for your kind donation. Thank you so much.
Karen's proud friend, Carolyn x
