On Sunday January 1st 2017, I am being made homeless.
When Iain died, I was left in a very precarious position. With the help of temporary work, friends and family I have survived, sort of, and I am very grateful.
But the actual compensation from a no -fault car crash, was a 6th of what had been promised for two years.
Of course I have argued, written, complained.
Now I have bheen givien notice to quit the premises, on January 1st. Good date eh ?

I don't have to get out then, I can wait to be taken to court and all the stress that comes with it. I really don't want to go through this, nor put my Landlord to this trouble, either. if I lose, I get to pay the costs.

The council are 'helping' by suggesting sheltered housing. Lovely, in 20 years time, but not yet, please. I am grateful of course, but it is too soon, and is not guaranteed by any means. There is talk of a b & b.
I have also taken advice from the CAB.

So what is this all about ?

Asking in a very non- British way for financial help from friends, in order than I can fund an independent move to Scarborough, where my Mother was born, in February. I have friends and relatives up there, and it is half the cost for renting in Newmarket. £350 as opposed to £700 upwards.

If you can help, I shall be embarrassed, but very grateful. Dont worry if you can't it is hard for everyone at the moment.

I realise you probably want to know where the money will go.

This is my budget

Cleaning the present place £250. estimate
Deposit and first months rent : max £900 estimate.
transport and travel : £800 this include a furniture van, or, new furniture when I move, depends where I go, and if a removal firm costs too much then I have an allowance for house clearance within the £800
contingency £0. could be more, out of deposit and first months rent.
