Story

Earlier this year, my little girl, Ruby, was diagnosed with a rare genetic condition that affects only 1000 people world-wide. Having Cohens Syndrome means that Ruby is severely developmentally-delayed; she will very likely need support for the rest of her life, as her sight will progressively deteriorate, leaving her either partially-sighted or blind. As yet, at the age of 3, Ruby is unable to walk or talk. She receives help from the NHS but due to the rural area in which we live, resources are extremely limited and she can only access one physio session every 6 weeks (we were lucky enough to be provided a walker for her just last week.)

According to the experts, early intervention is key with Ruby. As a family, we have financially supported her for private music therapy (to bring on her speech) and regularly travel to London and Manchester for intensive week-long sessions of CME therapy (for her mobility) and Reflex Integration (for her fine motor skills).

However, instead of asking for donations to help Ruby, we would like to invite you to enter an exciting raffle. Drum roll, please... How would you like to win this extremely-stylish, outdoor, artificial four-seater grass sofa???

Kindly donated by Ruby's Great-Auntie Angela and Great-Uncle Graham from Evergreen Direct, this outdoor sofa retails at £965 (* donkey and cushions not included). For every £1 pledged to Ruby's fund, a ticket bearing your name will be entered into the draw (£5 buys 5 tickets, £10 buys 10 tickets and so on...). The draw closes on the 31st July; we will film it and post the result on social media (so we're all legit). We will even throw in FREE UK delivery. (I know a man with a van).

Ruby is responding wonderfully-well to her therapy and is making astounding progress but with further support from you guys, we could really help her develop to the best of her potential.

P.S. If the sofa isn't something that would fit in your garden, perhaps you might know people/friends/businesses that would like to take a punt and help us achieve our goal for Ruby. Please feel free to share.
