This story begins in 1991, where 8 girls started their high school life, little did any of us know that we would become such good friends that it was like gaining 7 sisters. 25 years later and nothing much has changed......can't even say we have 'matured' as the years may suggest, we get together now and still laugh, joke & giggle like a set of teenagers.

So imagine receiving the devastating news that one of our friends has got breast cancer, I've never felt such an overwhelming feeling of sadness, thousands of memories came flooding back and all I could think of was how this could happen to our lovely wonderful friend.

At 36 years old, with 3 children, aged 5, 13 & 17.......life can be so unfair.

Now the fight begins.......Louise has started chemotherapy, and we know that she will fight this with everything she's got, with her family & friends right there beside her.

I can only begin to imagine how difficult this is for Louise, her husband and her children. So simply we need to give them all something to look forward to during this terrible time.

Our mission! Is to raise enough money for Louise, Chris & the kids to go away for a few days so they can spend some time together as a family & leave cancer behind at home......something I am sure you will agree they all need & deserve.

Our battle begins on 27th November where myself, Rebecca and my step-mum Anne will be taking part in the Barnsley 10k........with a little over 3 weeks to go training has begun, so I am kindly asking you all to donate as much or as little as you can, I know that times are hard, but giving as little as £1 will make all the difference.

If we don't achieve our target after the 10k we won't be stopping there, our battle will continue with more fund raising until we are able to give Louise and her family a little something to look forward to.
