I've raised £1000 to To raise funds to support building a skate park in Marden. This is a cause close to the heart of Mark Lally and his family.

Colne Valley Skate project is a scheme close to our hearts. We are looking to help build a skate park in Marsden for the use of the community.
Our boys love to skate and have been involved in the project from the beginning. It’s given them so many opportunities already – volunteering, serving the community, planning, research and fundraising. The whole group take immense pride in the project and should be applauded for the dedication and hard work they have invested.
Mark helped to film the promo video, the boys featured in it and Eddie’s band, Surplus, wrote and performed the music.
Whilst wheel and skate parks are not recognised by everyone as a sporting facility, they do promote community participation in healthy recreation, and in a well-designed appropriate facility. This is of particular relevance in this situation as skaters will frequent the purpose designed wheel and skate park rather than skate in the village of Marsden, practise on the stone entrance steps to listed buildings and in and around the streets. A purpose built facility would therefore benefit of the inhabitants of not only Marsden, but with the proximity of the railway station, much further afield than even the Colne Valley by the provision of facilities for skateboarding, scooter riding and other sporting activities in an area with currently little use.
