THE ORIGINAL APPEAL: Ukraine needs all the support to survive this winter. In partnership with the Ukrainian charity Ihor the Great I am fundraising money to procure cars for Ukrainian soldiers fighting in the Bakhmut - Kramatorsk region.

Kramatorsk, a city situated in the Donetsk region, has been a site of ferocious battles since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022. The residents of Kramatorsk showed clearly where their loyalties were defending their land at the frontline from the very first days of the war.

I am fundraising for a military unit of Kramatorsk who lately have been extremely unlucky because their private cars were bombed and destroyed several weeks ago. The loss of the cars disrupts their war effort as soldiers cannot move around easily: they need cars for all sorts of logistics, to transport the injured and move provisions. The Ukrainian Army help them as much as they can, but military units like this one also reach out to charities for targeted aid.

One such charity, based in Ukraine, is Ihor the Great : this charity works with many military units who approach them with specific requests. They buy cars that meet the required specification cheaply in Ukraine or Poland and deliver them to the military units. Whereas many traders in other countries send cars to Ukraine as a business, "Ihor the Great” are a not-for-profit, Kyiv registered charity. They have the capacity to deliver aid precisely to the Donetsk region. I was recommended “Ihor the Great” by the well-known Chicago-based charity Ukraine TrustChain . Please help me to raise £9,300 which will fund 2 cars for the Kramatorsk fighters.
