Story

Claverdon Area Safer Environment (CASE)
Claverdon Area Safer Environment (CASE) is a new initiative set up as a result of the WhatsApp group ‘Keep ‘Em Peeled’ and Claverdon Neighbourhood Watch along with the support of the Parish Council.
Crime affects us all in different ways and incidents have increased significantly over the past few years. This means we are now more likely to be affected by crime or know someone who has had something stolen or had a crime committed against them and/or their property/belongings/vehicles.

We therefore need your help to make the Claverdon area a safer place to live in by pulling together as a community to help deter, prevent or catch criminals.
to help fund the following projects:
1. To provide the installation and monitoring of at least 4 x CCTV/ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) cameras in 4 locations locally along with signs in prominant positions around the village and local areas – approx. £15,000. Within our budget we would like to contract a local security company to respond to suspicious activity. This project will help on many levels: providing visual deterrents to would-be thieves, evidence of vehicles/drivers/passenger(s), gathering statistics to support a case for road safety traffic measures, providing a secure response to call outs ensuring resident safety, and reducing incidents of speeding through our area

2. To purchase High Visibility jackets for volunteers to wear when walking in our area
3. To arrange the erection of signs/banners locally to highlight that we are a digitally connected community with security measures in place throughout the area , similar to what has been used in Barston Village.

4. To assist with or provide SmartWater Kits to residents

5. To action any other initiatives as we evolve.

4 years agoCASE UPDATE: GREAT NEWS, 2 more ANPR cameras went live on our village system today, meaning we are covering another route in and out of the village. Many thanks to another one of our kind residents for volunteering to have a camera site on their property. If you would like to help with funds for ongoing maintenance and replacement/repair in the future, please do donate.
