Story

Right folks! This is important and I need your help.

On Saturday 8th December 2018 I am going to be running the 5k Santa Dash (yes, dressed in a full santa suit + beard..etc!) on Brighton seafront with the aim of rising funds in aid of a rare neurological disorder called 'Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood (AHC)' that my wonderful 10-year old nephew Patrick has battled with since birth.

The disorder results in attacks of paralysis usually affecting one side of the body (hemiplegia) or the entire body. These attacks can last for minutes or often last several days (even weeks) and the affects, both mental and physical, are life changing.

The cause(s) of AHC is unknown, and there is no known cure for the disorder, however, after breakthrough research in gene-therapy, an AAV-mediated comprehensive treatment plan for AHC has been created (more details below) and funding is now needed as soon as possible at this crucial time with the initial $500,000 for the project required by April 2019.

This project carries enormous potential in curing AHC so PLEASE help them that target!

More details on the project can be found here:

Thank you

Caspar
