    Story

Cassie is a beautiful long haired cat that has been living rough near my workplace for a couple of years and
Unfortunately early this year she developed a sever limp and with help i finally managed to catch her in September.

Sadly she isn't chipped though she is neutered. Vets place her at 3 to 4 years old meaning half her life has been spent on the streets. She has been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and is on a specialised diet plus she has hearing difficulties and crepitus/trauma to her front right leg which they need to take a look at.

I have take her into my home to foster and get back to health and she has really settled happily to a warm bed and food . She constantly wants attention, purring as soon as you enter her room and especially likes playing 'catch the feather on the fishing rod'.

We're now facing the huge challenge to get her the care she needs for the second chance at life she deserves. Next week ( Tuesday 27th October 2020) she is booked in for a day of blood pressure tests and further blood analysis to determine at what rate her kidneys are deteriorating and if it is safe to anesthesia her and do a full investigate on her leg which is causing her pain and extreme difficulty with her mobility.
The bloods and pressure are £300.
Investigation of her leg with no meds or surgery is £800 + .

Any and all help you can give will make a huge difference and help save the life of this playful and happy cat.

    Thank you!!

Cassie is happy & stable all thanks to your generosity, from the bottom of our hearts THANK YOU! The vets are confident she's healthy enough for the next & hopefully final part of her journey,to diagnose then treat the crepitus causing her alot of pain and severely limits her mobility. With your help we've brought her kidneys within safe levels & easily maintain her blood pressure which was the sole cause of her heart murmur. She's loving, playful and now even enjoys sitting on laps. Please help us again on this next step!Thank you x

Hi! Cassie had her check up & blood tests with mixed results. Great news is the specialist diet has brought her kidneys back to normal meaning we've successfully got control of the kidney disease stopping further damaged! Sadly, due to the focus on her kidneys they missed that she has a strong heart murmur & high blood pressure. They can't identify the cause without a scan which is our next move. We're still hoping to get her leg checked but for now we need to raise £460 for her heart scan. Thanks for all your support, please keep sharing!
