I've raised £1750 to support Wollaton Songtime Group and Nottingham Casuals RFC by cycling to Skegness!

Nottingham Casuals RFC players and friends are riding from Nottingham to Skegness, raising money for Wollaton Songtime Group and the club.
We are riding for Wollaton Songtime Group, dementia friendly singing for well being. Over 850,000 people are diagnosed with dementia in the UK, the majority being cared for at home. Belonging to a singing group is an activity that can help to address the issue of social isolation, combat loneliness and foster community support.
The sessions are designed to stimulate memory and improve wellbeing and also provide an opportunity for friendship, fun and peer support. Singing as part of a group is proven to have positive effects on health and wellbeing for everyone, but particularly for people with dementia; they can continue going to these groups long after other mainstream activities become inaccessible.
Nottingham Casuals Rugby Football Club is based in Beeston Rylands, and primarily has rugby teams for men, women and juniors. The facilities are also used by local organisations and they regularly open their doors to the local community to host fund raising events and celebrations.
The cyclists will travel 90 miles across the Lincolnshire countryside to their final destination of Skegness. A brave few will put their bodies on the line, cycling back the following day.
Donations will be split evenly between the two causes. Many thanks in advance for your support.
