We are raising money for Sporting Hackney FC. Sporting Hackney FC was born 30 years ago as part of an initiative to support local young unemployed people in Hackney. SHFC offers a supportive and positive environment in which players can develop, not only as athletes, but also as young people and role models in the community.

Behind Every Kick - an innovative programme, that combines the playing of competitive football, with a creative and exciting off the pitch syllabus, incorporating building self-esteem, resilience, time management skills, ambition, commitment and discipline. Every player is also offered a volunteer mentor to support the young person during such an important period of transition in their life, ensuring that they have the necessary support to make decisions on things such as their future education and employability.

Sporting Hackney FC and MIND - a rolling programme of coached football sessions for people with mental health problems that combines the development of football skills and physical fitness with team working, self-esteem and resilience.

Disadvantaged people - SHFC supports those in our community who are financially challenged and this is a barrier to playing football.
