Story

Bucks Students' Union nominates and voted upon their Charity for the 2023- 24 Academic year!

We are so happy and proud to be raising funds for such and amazing Charity!

Stokenchurch Dog Rescue was formerly known as The High Wycombe & District Dog Rescue and Welfare Society. It was set up by local residents in 1963 to save the lives of stray, abandoned and unwanted dogs, as well as those impounded by the police. Since then, we have successfully rehomed thousands of dogs and are well known for our non-destruct policy.

Since the police gave up providing this service in recent years, stray and unwanted dogs are taken to council pounds. We now work closely with these organisations to ensure that we can rescue as many dogs as we are able and then find them safe and loving homes.

The famous Netball for RAG we had 8 teams and 99 people in total a great time was had by all and as well as the winning team Wucks Wens Wetball receiving the trophy and a box of sweets, we also had Bethany Jackson winning best costume and Ethan Hutcheson for best player. We have made over £400 for the first RAG week and we still have loads planned for you. Thank you to all who took part, brought a doughnut, or just donated. Stokenchurch Dog rescue is an amazing charity, and we are very proud to be raising some much-needed funds.
