Story

The Western Warriors Cheer and Dance group have been established for ten years and are based in Neath Port Talbot. Even though Cheerleading is classed as a worldwide sport they still do not receive funding as you do in other sports. Western Warriors is not just a sport but like a family where the children gain skills, confidence and build friendships. Some of the warriors have also this year represented Wales in Barcelona which is a major achievement. Cheerleading is an expensive sport. I am taking part in my second Tough Mudder Full on the 19th August 2018. This is a tough event consisting of 10 miles and 20 obstacles designed to test my strength, stamina and mental grit. There are no winners as the event is about working as a team with both team mates and other Tough Mudders from all of the world. I am hoping to raise some funding for the Western Warriors which will go towards equipment and competitions and also to keep this valuable community group going so children can keep enjoying being part of the Warrior family.
