Story
Our wonderful and courageous friend Emma has been battling cancer since April 2017 when she was diagnosed with a rare form of mouth cancer after a routine visit to the dentist.
Treatment has been long and complicated. Emma had a 10 hour operation during which bone was taken from her hip to reconstruct her jaw and half her bottom teeth were removed. The operation needed to be repeated only weeks later and recovery from such extreme surgery was slow and painful.
After many, many, rounds of chemotherapy and radiotherapy Emma was finally given the all clear in November 2017.
Yet just as Emma was getting back to work, back into running (exercise is a huge passion of hers) and starting to put such an awful ordeal behind her she was told that the cancer had spread to both of her lungs.
Emma and her family and friends are now researching alternative treatments and we want to make sure the funds are there to help with whatever route she takes to fight this disease. A simple consultation with a private consultant can run to hundreds of pounds, let alone treatment so we are asking you to please donate whatever you can, any amount will make a difference.
Anyone who knows Emma will know she is the most selfless, thoughtful and caring person you could ever meet - she has endured the most gruelling treatment and has faced it all with incredible grace and bravery, and still puts those around her before herself. We love her very much and want her well again.
Pease share and give whatever you can xxxx
