After having five children, ranging in age from 9 to 25... Ive had loads of schooling experience. My kids have been educated in Australia, Canada and Scotland, and now my youngest 2 are now about to embark on a new Bulgarian education adventure.             

We recently emigrated to Bulgaria, and today I met with the lovely English teacher at  Goran Chervenyashki school Mihaylovo, where we had a choice of sending 9 year old Euan,

The teacher said it might be more beneficial to send him to the larger school in the next village, as it gets allocated funding, and hot lunches..plus they have indoor toilets...

The Mihaylovo school doesnt have these "luxuries"

Imagine in 2018 where an inside toilet, in your kids school is a luxury?

My children have attended schools in remote communities, and even these educational facilities have state of the art computers, classrooms, smartboards and access to a healthy learning environment.

No kid should have to use the one outside toilet in minus 20 winter conditions.

I hope that as a global community,we can raise some much needed funds to put some warmth back into this school.

Get the kids up to par with the rest of the world, prep them for big things in their adult lives, and also be productive members of their community.

My family can do the small things here,  but we need loads of help to get the larger things done.

even a £1 or a $1 will make a massive difference to the kids, and will mean so much to the small staff that are literally putting their blood sweat and tears into keeping these kids safe, well and educated.
