Story
My name is Catriona McPheat and I am a senior student at Dunbar Grammar School who is taking part in a volunteering trip to Morocco in the summer of 2019. As part of the experience, other students and I will be working with the local community and helping to enhance their lives through developing their environment. We shall also be taking part in a trek in the Atlas Mountains where we will be trekking for 6-7 hours a day, camping out every night and cooking for ourselves.
In order to raise the money to do this I have been taking part in various fundraising activities including bake sales, a school disco, helping out at the Edinburgh Half Marathon, a table sale and various raffles.
On New Years Day in Dunbar we have a charity event called The Dunbar Dip. This involves running into the North Sea with lots of other slightly crazy people!! In previous years I have taken part however this year will be the first year I am fundraising for my own cause. I would really appreciate any donations you can give me for taking part in this challenge and that will help me achieve my target of £1500. I am really looking forward to going to Morocco and experiencing all the activities that are planned for our group.
Many thanks for taking the time to read this and I promise I will post some photos and film to show that I have completed The Dunbar Dip!!!
Best Wishes,
Catriona.
