We have found hundreds of cats in Rome who are homeless or have been abandobed by their owners. While lots of them do get fed from kind people here and there, most of the homeless cats get diseases and spread them to other animals leading eventually to their death and also unhealthy environment. Council and authorities are unable to manage big quantity of homeless animals as the vet bills are high.
Just last week one very young cat had to be put to sleep by a council because the kittens she was bearing inside her had died before even being born. This wouldn't happen if she was neutered or at least looked at when there was a concern.
We kindly ask all who care about homeless animals and cats in particular to donate some money to help us to look after the poor animals who are just victims of bad owners. Even small thing helps!
