Moving to kuwait in january and immediately adopting a kitten from the streets made me realise how much of a crisis they are in with stray cats and dogs. I was shocked that this was the ‘norm‘ here and it’s infuriating every time I step outside and see so many everywhere I go. There is no funding from the government to try and tackle this issue therefore it relys on voluntary rescue organisations purely run on kind online donations from all over the world from YOU. I do my daily rounds of feeding and giving water to the strays in my area but this is NOT ENOUGH. Vet bills need to be covered as many are injured and at risk of losing their lives - most before they even reach 6 months old. These animals have to live in ridiculous heats of 30+ degrees C- in the summer heats of 50 DEGREES CELSIUS, will unfortunately loose a lot of these kind souls. YOUR kind donations is what will allow cats to be neutered to help resuce this problem. Donations are also needed to fund flights to send cats/kittens/dogs out of the country to their forever home that they have been longing for for so long.
