    Story

230,000 CATS IN THE UK ARE RUN OVER EVERY YEAR - WE NEED YOUR HELP TO CHANGE THAT

Our mission is to promote better road safety for cats.

We believe with just a little extra care from drivers, cats have a much lower chance of being hit by a car. That said, accidents do happen. When prevention fails, it's important for drivers to do everything possible to help the animal get urgent care (if possible) and ensure that the owner is notified of the incident. Many cats that could have otherwise survived a collision die slowly and painfully because no one stopped to help them. one in ten UK drivers has left a cat do die alone. It's time for change.

All cats deserve better. For those who love them, it's never 'just a cat.'

It is with this mission in mind that we have created the not-for-profit #CatsMatter campaign: www.catsmatter.org.

We are asking for your help in raising the funds needed to canvassing to raise awareness for this very important message: Cats Matter.

    -Organise educational, fundraising Events

-Print and distribute educational campaign materials (https://www.catsmatter.org/shop) across the UK to vets offices, local DVLA offices, partner organisations and even door-to-door / shop windows

-Print and erect roadside banners reminding drivers to think about cats

-Help fund paid advertising online (search engines and social media) to gain access to a wider audience

-Support our efforts in campaigning for cats rights, including making it illegal to hit a cat and not report it, making it mandatory for all UK councils to scan deceased cats and notify owners and more: https://www.catsmatter.org/victories.

Please also join our community discussion on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/catsmatterUK/?ref=br_rs

Many thanks for anything you are able to contribute, even if it's time or a simple share. Anything you can do will make a big difference to cats in the UK.
