My original plan was too ambitious and I over-estimated the effectiveness of using twitter to reach the UK's aware community. I am having to revert to my plan B.

PLAN B: Colour photocopy and spiral bind a 10%* extract of "CAUSE UNKNOWN" and post a copy to each of our 650 MPs with a long detailed letter sharing information and urging our MPs to attend the parliamentary debate on Trends in Excess Deaths on 20th October. My printer is happy to print them for £3 a copy and the p&p will be £1.50 so £4.50 x 650 = £2925 please help me.

He is all set to print the remaining 450 tomorrow Monday. The price point per MP has dropped from £25 to £4.50 which is a lot more affordable so hopefully many more people will donate today and tomorrow.

“CAUSE UNKNOWN” is a memorial compilation of young deaths in 2021 & 2022. This book contains QR codes and links to news articles reporting the deaths of over 700 young people, including athletes, and performing artists. Please watch my 2-minute video above as I thumb through a couple of dozen pages to give you a feel for the memorial power of the book.

It also contains links to over 100 scientific papers and analysis by the book’s author Ed Dowd, who is phenomenal at spotting trends in markets when working at Blackrock.

Please help me buy a copy of the book “CAUSE UNKNOWN” for every one of the UK’s 650 MPs. I want to post them a copy with a letter urging them to attend the Parliamentary Debate on Friday 20th October on Trends in Excess Deaths. The book is not stocked by UK bookshops and is only available from the US online via Blackwells etc.

The US publisher Skyhorse’s sales agent has given me a 50% bulk discount. In total it will cost £18,000 including airfreight to my flat in Edinburgh and the postage and packaging to each MP’s constituency office.

The last three and a half years have been tough for almost all of us.

From March 2020 and in January 2021 the pandemic caused more people to die than would have been expected based on the five-year average for 2015 to 2019. Mainly the elderly were affected as the average age of someone dying from or with Covid-19 was 83.

The number of people who died with Covid each day was heavily reported on every news channel almost every day every hour!

For a period of sixteen weeks from January 2022 to April 2022 there was finally the good (albeit unreported) news that 3,400* fewer people died in England & Wales compared to the 2015-2019 five-year average according to data from the ONS. This was expected as people who would have normally died during these four months had already died in 2020 & 2021 with Covid.

January 2022 was ten months since the end of the last lockdown in March 2021 and the NHS was as always still under pressure. The good news is that both factors were not causing deaths to increase because the number of people dying was lower than expected from January to April 2022.

From the end of April 2022, the pattern of fewer deaths in England & Wales suddenly changed, and we succumbed to an increase in excess deaths. The change occurred overnight, as if something specific had caused the tables to turn.

In the 16 weeks between the end of April 2022 an August 2022, 20,000 extra people died in England & Wales compared to the 5-year average for the equivalent period in the years 2015 to 2019 according to ONS data. What could have caused this sudden increase?

Sadly, high excess deaths have continued throughout 2022 and 2023, and the levels of excess deaths have barley been reported. Questions are not being asked and the public are not being provided with potential explanations.

This is why Andrew Bridgen has been campaigning so hard to get the question aired and debated in parliament. His hard work and persistence have secured him the opportunity to speak in parliament for 20 minutes on Friday 20th October and put questions to a government minister.

I am going to:

a) Email every one of our 650 MPs urging them to attend the parliamentary debate on Trends in Excess Deaths.

b) Write to their constituency office urging them the same with a copy of “UNKNOWN CAUSE”.

c) Email them again to ask them if they have received their copy of “UNKNOWN CAUSE” and asking them if they have decided to attend.

d) On the evening of Friday 20th after the debate I will email them a link to the debate and urge them to watch it if they missed it.

e) The following week, I will email all the MPs who have not replied a couple more times asking them if they have received their copy of “UNKNOWN CAUSE”.

In short, I will do all that I can to maximise our combined investment.

People need to be informed that a lot more people than expected are still dying now in 2023 and that this has been happening since the end of April 2022. This needs to be reported.

The question about what is causing this must be asked.

The statisticians and politicians need to provide answers.

Yes, we know that the Covid-19 pandemic had many side effects. Side effects from the lockdowns and side effects of the economic and medical aftermath.

We have been informed that Climate Change is probably going to result in more pandemics. It is most important that we learn and understand what worked and what did not work from the last pandemic.

High excess deaths now, three and a half years after the pandemic started, are not acceptable. It is even more unacceptable that this information is being swept under the carpet. It is being supressed. Suppression of information is the definition of censorship.

Why do our authorities not want us to know about the high excess deaths since April 2022 when throughout the pandemic they could not get enough of telling us about death?

Why do our authorities not want us to know what is causing these high extra deaths? Especially, among the young?

As our representatives, our MPs are duty bound to attend Andrew Bridgen’s debate on 20th October. This will give a clear signal that they value using their leadership and judgement to understand what could be causing so many thousands of extra people to die in the UK compared to the normal five-year average.

Excess deaths are an international phenomenon. MPs and the people need to know what is causing extra deaths from April 2022 & into 2023. Especially as fewer people actually died from January to April 2022 compared to the 5-year average.

Action needs to be taken NOW to reverse this trend.

P.S. If we exceed my initial target, I will use the extra funds to send copies to senior medical consultants in our hospitals and to GP practices and I will increase the target accordingly. Doctors have been personally witnessing high excess deaths from a personal and anecdotal perspective. I want to inspire them to become more aware of the data and broach the subject.

P.P.S. Many people have already expressed positive support for this project in educating MPs about Excess Deaths. If the target is not reached my fall-back plan is to use the funds to photocopy 20 pages of the book and send these to MPs instead using the 10% copyright rule for educational purposes. I have also emailed Skyhorse Publishing proactively to inform them and seek their agreement. I will update here if they reply.
