We have a two mile path that used to be part of the Rugby to Leamington Spa railway-line. Over the last eight years, have turned it into a fantastic nature walk. We now want to install picnic benches so local people can stop and enjoy the wildlife and nature that is on their doorstep. We would like to install six benches along the path to give people a reason to get out of the house, go for a walk, get a bit fitter, get a new hobby that is observing and recording wildlife, make new friends with like-minded people, give parents an activity that they can engage in with their children, help lonely people get out and about and engage with people around an interesting topic, and help people who may be suffering from mental health issues by creating calm and relaxing places where people can just chill out and gather their thoughts. Ideally we want a picnic bench every third of a mile.
