In 2016 we achieved more than we ever could have hoped for! Our fantastic community got right behind us and we had the best Christmas celebration we have had in years!

We raised a lot of money last year but we had to spend a lot (approximately £13,000) on electrical work and labour to ensure we had a safe, long-lasting foundation for our new Christmas lights.

We have made a cracking start so far this year as we won the national Blachere Christmas Lights Competition which saw us win £10,000 worth of Christmas lights for the town! However, we do need to spend a bit more to put them up but we know they will look fantastic!

We really want to hold our weekend event like last time and also deliver another great Lighting of the Lights event but currently we don't have enough in the kitty to host either. We have a few fundraising ideas up our sleeves but we, once again, are looking to our local residents and businesses to put a pound or two in the pot. Nicola Payne has done a fantastic job with her page on Gossip Around Ilfracombe so a huge thank you to her for her ongoing support.
