Story
For a few years now, I’ve been fundraising during the festive season to help local and some better known charities with their efforts to support those in need. Christmas can be especially challenging for those struggling financially, for those with ill health or mental health issues, and those experiencing loneliness and isolation.
So, as in previous years, I’ll be running my Christmas Cheer jokeathon throughout December and into early January (throwing a few other things into the mix to keep things fresh). Please follow my antics, and brace yourself for the naff humour 😉, on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/christmascheer2021/
This year’s two charities are Sefton Community Pantry and Young Minds.
The Pantry works with local schools to support vulnerable families with things such as food parcels, hygene packs and winter coats for children. They also enable these families to have a Christmas that would otherwise be impossible.
Young Minds do incredible work supporting young people with mental health issues and crises. They also provide vital support for parents/caregivers and wider support systems such as schools, youth services etc.
Your support, as ever, is greatly appreciated, my friends. Let‘s raise our highest total yet to support these very worthy charitable causes! 💜🎄🙏🏻Xx
