Whilst here the children the children are taken out on trips to places such as the seaside, Wildlife parks, Adventure playgrounds giving them wonderful experiences and fantastic memories. We also take them to the dentist and the Opticians where a lot need treatment and new spectacles. The 4 week stay also means the children are able to breathe clean air, drink clean water and eat fresh food. It's estimated that 4 weeks of healthy living with a host family can boost a child's immune-system by around 2 years.

Even though The Chernobyl Nuclear disaster happened 34 years ago, the effects from this will last for hundreds if not thousands of years to come. The contamination damages immune systems – so Leukaemia and thyroid cancer are common. The gene pool is also damaged and as a result birth defects escalate. The result of the explosion caused thousands of square miles of land, water courses and also livestock to become contaminated with radioactive particles.The disaster was a result of a failed test on reactor 4, which got out of hand and exploded.

The cost to bring a child over is approx £700 each (Including Leader) this includes their Air fare, transfers, visa’s, admin and all the cost’s when they are here such as minibus hire and diesel.
