Story

I am going with a group of girls from our school on a 23 day trip to eSwatini (Swaziland) in the summer of 2020, after our GCSEs, to help the local community in building and conservation projects. Our building project is helping workers in the local community to build a block of bedrooms for an old people's care home. The bedrooms we build will be able to house a few elderly people that are either homeless or unable to take care of themselves. Many elderly people in eSwatini are living alone as they have lost their children to AIDS and no longer have any family to take care of them when they are unable to care for themselves so the bedrooms we build during our trip will greatly help these people enjoy the rest of their lives with other people in a happy community, Your money will help fund the trip and pay for supplies to build the care home. During our building project we will also be visiting AIDS orphaned children in one of the countries NCPs, National Care Points. As well as this, we will be working alongside rangers in national parks to help preserve footpaths and monitor the wildlife, which is at risk of extinction from poaching. This is an incredible opportunity to assist the local communities and help build a brighter future for the younger generations.
