CEEB is a nonprofit educational organization that offers a comprehensive education, focused on human development, to children in socially vulnerable situations in the city of Santa Ines, Maranhao.

When they started in 2010, there were about 50 students. Today, in 2019, they serve 530 students, ages 4 to 15, from kindergarten through 9th grade.

Students are selected according to socioeconomic criteria, in a process that involves interviews with parents and visits to families' homes. Thus, the project is guaranteed to benefit those who really need it, in a region already marked by strong social inequality.

CEEB praises transparency. The school shares a financial statement monthly with all donations and all expenses. This ensures that all donations fulfill their purpose and that every penny is accounted for.

About the region: Maranhao has the second-lowest Human Develop Index of Brazil, and Santa Ines has 53% of its population in extreme poverty.
