I've raised £350 to Support Solihull Children in Care Council - OVOS "Our Voice Our Services"

**We did it - 13 odd miles through the Solihul countryside - thank you so much for your support - nice footbath now!**
On the 7 April 2019 Phil Leivers and myself will be taking on the Solihull Half Marathon.
This will be my first half marathon 13.1 miles (if I say it quick it doesn't seem so far) and although quite daunting I have been pounding the streets of Solihull, Shirley and Wythall preparing for the day.
Phil runs regularly, especially Park run on Saturdays, and is coming back from several injuries over the last 12 months. So this will be a challenge, the furthest he's run in over a year, but he is determined.
We are running to raise money for OVOS, Our Voice Our Services, which is Solihull’s Children In Care Council for 8-25 year olds who are either looked after by Solihull or are its Care Leavers. The group meets to discuss issues that are important to them and develop ways in which they can inform and influence the services they receive. OVOS is a proactive group who have recently co-produced a film to be used as part of training for social workers and foster carers as well as organising a mental heath conference for other young people.
OVOS relies on funding to be able to participate in more fun and informal activities where they can make friends with similar experiences such as trips to the seaside, rock-climbing, bowling, and ice-skating.
We would really appreciate your help in supporting OVOS and the brilliant work they do by sponsoring our run.
Many thanks
Ceals and Phil
