Story

Last week I took 21 street kids in Jinka, Ethiopia and reunited them with their families in remote villages. With the families support and some local helpers I enrolled each one of them in school.

Nine of those kids, were true orphans with no family to be found or homes so bad that they could not stay there. With the help of a a local charity I found a small house for them all to stay in and hired a neighbor to cook meals for them., bought some mattresses, clothes and bedding for them. They were also enrolled in school and you can see them in the photos with the add.

The school asked me to bring some text books for English, Amharic and brille for some blind kids, as well as some basic school supplies like pens and note books.

The books will be used not just for the 21 street kids but by the whole school.

The outlays so far have have exhausted my available budget and I am hoping to raise the funding for these books to take there next month. Budget allowing I will try to see these kids every three months to ensure that the have at least the basics in place to continue their schooling.

Myself, the school and the kids in Jinka will be very grateful for you donations.
