I've raised £1000 to Help to raise awareness, support people with coeliac disease and foster research through CeliacTest mobile app

Thank you for visiting my Just giving page.
About 160k people in Kazakhstan have coeliac disease, but still do not know it and attribute their un-wellness to other health conditions, making it worse. When they (or their child) get diagnosed they do not know where to seek support and stay alone with their new gluten-free lives (there are no coeliac societies, associations or support groups in Kazakhstan). Also, very small amount of research has been done into this disease in the country.
Coeliac disease is a condition when gluten damages human's body every time he/she eats spaghetti or a slice of bread. Being a medical expert for many years, I have seen ins and outs of the challenges that these people tackle every day, long before and after diagnosis.
I decided to create a free mobile app that would allow all people, independently of the societal background or living place, knowing more about the disease and at-risk groups, also they would be able to assess their own risks of having coeliac disease through questionnaire.
For people living with the disease it would allow connecting and sharing experiences on app’s forum, getting advice from an online consultant and making use of a thorough directory for everyday life (gluten-free shops, restaurants, health clinics etc.).
For researchers this platform would allow reaching out wide community of gluten-free people.
I have a small group of volunteers with me. We started to develop the app on our off-duty time and very excited about it, but we need more people and time. Any help would be massively appreciated and bring us closer to purpose!
