Story
For those that know me know I am a volunteer at Gosport & Fareham RFC. I am very passionate about providing boys and girls an opportunity to play rugby with their friends and make everlasting friendships and memories. The club is run by volunteers and we rely on fundraising events to support all the opportunities we can organise both on and off the pitch for the kids.
For the boys time as Youth rugby players to end in style at Under 16s, we are hoping to raise funds to take them abroad for a final hurrah before they move into Colts rugby. This traditional rugby tour is a vital event to reinforce bonds as they take their next "rugby" step together and is likely to be a "never forget" opportunity for them. Realistically, we will need to raise in excess of £15,000 in order to help subsidise the costs which might otherwise restrict some of the players from going.
On 19th June 2021 I am willing to voluntarily jump from an aircraft at 15,000 feet!! It will be a tandem skydive over Salisbury. I have never skydived before and quite frankly, I'm rather nervous about it. But it's all for a good cause.
Due to COVID19, fundraising has been very difficult in 2020 and we've not been able to raise the funds we had hoped to. I am hoping this will help make up for lost time. Please donate what you can for what will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for the boys. I have paid for the skydive, all funds raised will go straight to The Celts Tour Fund. Please feel free to share this to those you feel could help.
