Centred Soul is a Newry based Social Enteprise. It was created by a Newry Mother, Rosemary Deans, following her experience of Perinatal (Antenatal/Postnatal) Depression and Birth Trauma.

Having found a huge lack of support services available in Northern Ireland and no support services within the Newry area, Centred Soul was established as a Not-For -Profit Organisation, to support others in the local community also affected by Perinatal Mental Illness, Birth Trauma, Pregnancy and Infant loss.

Over the past year, Centred Soul has supported women and men in Newry and further afield, by offering services to include counselling, support groups, antenatal and postnatal peer support, pregnancy and infant loss peer support, perinatal education, complementary therapies, funded workshops/courses, however due to the high demand for services, we now need your help to ensure that these supports can continue.

-There are approximately 2500 births per year, in the Newry and Mourne area with approx 25,000 per year in Northern Ireland.
Our organisation is based in Newry, but we have individuals and families travelling from all over the country to avail of our supports and that is because there are so very little services in place.

-Over 1 in 10 women experience Perinatal Mental Illness.

-1/10 men experience Post Natal Depression.

-7/10 women underplay or hide their symptoms.

There are many men and women in our local community experiencing these challenges right now.

As a Not- For- Profit organisation, Centred Soul needs your help. Donations will enable our organisation continue to provide services, to those who need it, to include Counselling, Support Groups, Antenatal and Postnatal Education and training.
