Story
I am a 2nd year student Paediatric Nurse studying at Anglia Ruskin University. I have an amazing opportunity to spend 4 weeks in Lusaka, Zambia in August 2019. I will be spending 3 weeks working within a Childrens hospital and 1 week living and working in villages in the area attending healthcare clinics.
By undertaking this placement I will be able to offer assistance within a hospital and communities with far less resources than we have here in the UK, working with Children with many health needs such as malnutrition and HIV.
The elective placement is run by a company called Work the World, they arrange placements for a wide variety of health care professionals and students from all over the world. Priding themselves in the good relationships they have with the hospitals they use to offer the best experience for the placement. I have set up this page to help raise funds for the trip. the overall cost is around £4000.00 which includes flights, visas, transfers, accommodation, management via Work the world, vaccinations.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my page.
