Story

When I turned 16, I moved away from a children's Cystic Fibrosis clinic and have been cared for by the Cystic Fibrosis team at the Northern General Hospital ever since.

CF patients often have to spend days/weeks/months in hospital, multiple times a year for treatments.

It's hard for anyone to be in hospital for long periods of time, away from home comforts, friends & family. With CF you are also confined to your own room to avoid cross infection, so along with dealing with whatever you are in there for, it can also become pretty lonely.

I am raising money to give back to the ward that looks after me, to help with small improvements to make inpatients, and their families lives, that little bit easier and more comfortable.

Anything we can do to help improve mine and my fellow CF sufferers hospital stays, will make such a huge difference.

I know myself and others call it our home from home (whether we want to or not) and I am raising money by challenging myself to complete 5k run in August 2019 (which I have already entered online so there is no backing out!)

Thank you for taking the time to read about this and if you want to ask me any more questions, feel free to message me on Facebook :)
