Story

Sams pregnancy journey began in March 2017 when she fell pregnant with her first child. Excitement was in the air and she was beginning to imagine what her life would be like with a new bundle of joy. However her world came crashing down when on 1st April 2017 she miscarried at just 5 weeks, a devastating blow for her and her husband Martin. Sam picked herself up and continued to try for a much wanted baby, and luckily again in the June she conceived, only in the July to miscarry once more. 3rd time lucky and August 2017 sam conceived again, thinking she couldn’t be dealt any more bad luck, but in September fate repeated itself and she found herself having her 3rd miscarriage in 7 months. A few months later and Sam received another devestating blow when she miscarried for the fourth time.

After her 5th pregnancy gave her her little miracle Ted, Sam wanted to put more time into helping and supporting other women going through recurrent miscarriage. She has a close relationship with the EPAU in Hull, working closely with them to find ways to make the process that little bit easier after finding out the worst news. Sam supplies bracelets to the unit to hand out to woman after suffering a loss, which means for them they dont leave the hospital empty handed, and to most that means the world. Sam also runs a monthly support group which gives women a safe place to go and discuss there feelings in a secure enviroment, especially when they feel they have nowhere else to turn at a horrible time in their life.

All these things cost money, which is why we are taking on Total Warrior this year on 22nd June. We would love to raise as much money as possible to help Sam continue to help others, which is one of the things shes good at. Anything you can donate is massively appreciated. Anyone at any age can find themselves in this position, so we believe its a really worthy cause. Thanks for reading. Steph and Em. Xxxx
