Once upon a time, there were 6 mums (Marie, Lorraine, Christel, Jane, Lucie and Sharon who was on another duty when the picture was taken) who went to work for Central Greenwich Children's Centres (CGCC). There were assigned very impactful tasks for the Woolwich Riverside community.

Their mission is to organise and fundraise for activities/services for children under 5 and their families. Their next task is to raise enough money to fund 4 coaches to take some of them to the seaside. So they decided to run a race together.

CGCC works with almost 3000 children under 5. While many have caring & supportive parents, families and others looking after them, unfortunately, many experience social isolation, domestic violence, poor housing and are affected by poor parental mental ill health and substance misuse. They need to feel safe, have fun and build up happy memories.

Every year CGCC takes families to the seaside. Here are some quotes from parents:
