    Story

    Chadyamukonde is an area in the Seke district near Beatrice in Zimbabwe it is approximately 12miles from Harare. Chadyamukonde Development Association (CHADA) was formed and registered in the UK with the purpose of developing the Chadyamukonde area and its population.

    Chadyamukonde is a rural area which is under development with the nearest primary school is being 6kilometres away which means the school children have to get up very early to go to attend school at 0800hrs and this can be a challenge during rainy season where rivers flood and winter periods when it is very cold.

    By the time the children arrive at school they will be tired and hungry and this affects their learning and the same after school they take the long journey back on foot and arrive home late in the evening. This mean they have less time with their parents and no time for home work since they will be tired and going to bed early in order to be up again early morning for a long journey to school again.

    The local community came together and decided to open a primary school which is known as Chadyamukonde Primary School. The school was at an identified place where children and volunteer teachers meet under a tree and writing on a cardboard box using charcoal.

    The find raised will help to build seven classrooms, a clinic at the school, library, staff room, toilets, head teachers house and one teacher houses where teachers can share for those travelling from far away.

    The raised funds will also help to create employment and reduce poverty; it will also help in the development of a health centre since the nearest health centre is five kilometres away.

    The funds raised will also help to buy laptop/computer and projector for the school so that school children have access to technology and help them understand the world around them. The funds will also help to develop skills/sports centres in order to prepare young people with skills for life for example football and gardening or carpentry just to name a few activities.

    The school garden will be able to produce food which will help to facilitate the development of a kitchen at school where parents will prepare food in the morning and lunch time. This will ensure that every child attends school by knowing that they can get food from the school and it will be an incentive for increased attendance and concentration.

    Chadyamukonde Development Association (CHADA) aims to empower the local and surrounding communities working closely with the school to develop communal projects that bring about community ownership. Chadyamukonde Development Association (CHADA) aims to make use of local resources and where there are gaps external support can be sourced either voluntarily or otherwise.

    There will be a continuous process of appraisal and feedback to the community, stakeholders, funders by Chadyamukonde Development Association (CHADA). Chadyamukonde Development Association (CHADA) will work openly and transparently throughout making sure feedback is provided to all funders and interested individuals, community at large.

    As you can see from the cover photo where school children are learning in an open makeshift wall.

    So far we have managed to source uniform from a private school in the United Kingdom and shipped two drum full of uniforms and shoes. We have also managed to buy 10 black boards as evidenced by the cover open class photo.

    We know with your support Chadyamukonde children will have quality education and develop as we all know, children are our tomorrow and all funds donated will be put to good use and make a Big Difference!!!!

    As you can see from the picture above the children are learning outside where there is no shelter and materials that facilitate learning Please help and make a big difference any donation is well-come.

    Education is key to any child's development;

    Education makes the future bright and hopeful.

    Invest today for tomorrow's leadership;(Our Children are the Future)!!!!!
