Story

Yesterday we set up a Just Giving page to help our friend Sam get a new chair, something that’s crucial to his quality of life at home, his current one is in a state of disrepair and he needs a primary one to be able to sleep comfortably and not be in danger of rolling out, and to help hold his son Rohan properly....

24 hours later I’m pleased to say, woah, you did it! we set a goal of £750 and thank you so much to everyone who donated, you bloody smashed it!

Sam has been overwhelmed by your generosity, like I said before he doesn’t like fuss or asking for money and he’s tough as Yorkshire granite!

Since it’s literally been 24 hours I was thinking maybe we could keep it going? The Chair was a amazing wonderful start, but with Sam’s medical conditions it really important that his house is safe for little Rohan and safe for Sam too, he’s in real need of things like a travel cot, a changing station, the bannister needs fixing on the stairs, and basically just things that will be really important for him moving forward in his home, it’s a lot to ask and everyone has done so much already but it really has made such a difference just in one day :)

Sam has Degenerative Disc Disease and Severe Neuropathy, he had some discs removed but as it stands his spine is in a terrible state, lower back disc‘s are slipping out. Sam had a pacemaker fitted after his Vagel Nerve was damaged in his neck so his heart would ether go so slow it stopped and he collapsed or it would go so fast he passed out. Sam takes a almighty amount of medication and painkillers, and also suffers from Severe Pitting Oedema making it very difficult to move around the house, if at all most days!

he‘s had ten years or more of this, but the last 18 months have been really tough for him, thank you so much if you donated already it really means the world!
