Story

We have a 14 week old Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy who we had from a Breeder. He was born with two Dermoid Sinuses, but we were prepared to try and help him rather than the risk of euthanasia.
He underwent surgery to remove the offending Sinuses. After two weeks, complications with the surgery left him very ill from infection (possiblely meningitis) and last week he had to undergo an emergency operation to save him.
The vets now believe part of the sinus was not removed in the first operation and that the sinus may have entered his spine, and will therefore require specialist surgery by a Neurologist to save his life.
As he was born with the condition, claiming under insurance is not an option. We have already spent over £1,400 on two operations & vetinary aftercare.
The new surgery required will be expensive and therefore mean that if we cannot raise the money he will not be able to have the surgery, and therefore put to sleep; after all he has been through the thought of this is unbearable.
Chaka is a very handsome boy, he is full of character and everyone who meets him instantly falls in love with him. It would be unbearable to have to end his life so young due to finances.
We would appreciate any support you can offer, no matter how small.
Thank you.
