Weʼre raising £5,000 to help toward costs involved putting on CHANCES 2020 where profits go to CHANCES chosen charities & causes including Stroke in younger people

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Story

In 2016 I suffered 3 strokes followed by a forth stroke at some point between the scans in Dec.2016 and August 2017.

These strokes had a major impact on my life and more can be read in my story here via the chances website chancesfestival.co.uk in the about pages.

Since then I use my rehab to try and raise awareness and funds to help other younger and working age stroke survivors

CHANCES was something I set up. I love my music and festivals and it was something I missed greatly so we decided to do a mini festival theme fundraiser and awareness event locally in 2018 and 2019 and both went well.

We now want to continue and go bigger next year but need to fundraise to cover the costs so we can make as much money as possible for causes who will receive a donation of the profits from CHANCES 2020.

We will announce who the charities and causes will be for the CHANCES 2020 event in due course.

You can follow chances festival online Facebook and Instagram to view the pilot and 2019 CHANCES photos and how it went.

We hope to see you in 2020.

Next up happening mid April is me doing a sponsored coastal walk. With a team we will be walking c. 5 miles on a relatively tough walk for anyone who hasn't had a stroke with mobility issues so this isnt going to be easy climbing up and down cliffs and rocky terrains. But we will do it! More on this soon but i thought I had better do a tough challenge for myself to show I will work to raise this amount throughout 2020. I'm nervous and worried all in one as I haven't done any walks since the strokes and not anything like this!!
