Story

5K Run for Change – February

In loving memory of Tianne Olivia, we are coming together to turn grief into action.

Tianne was a creative force, a founder, and a woman whose honesty, courage, and compassion touched countless lives. She used her voice to uplift others, speak openly about life’s hardest moments, and create spaces where people felt seen, connected, and less alone. Her legacy is one of empathy, strength, and deep care for women facing hardship.

Tianne’s organisation falls under social welfare because its core purpose is to support vulnerable people affected by domestic violence and abuse. We aim to raise as much funding as possible to provide practical, life-saving support to individuals who are often left without adequate protection or guidance when they attempt to leave abusive situations.

Through a programme of fundraising activities, we will offer advocacy, access to safe spaces, and educational support. The organisation also focuses on helping people rebuild their lives by supporting reintegration into the community addressing gaps in safety, support, and long-term stability that many survivors experience.

This work exists because too many people fall through the cracks of existing systems. After Tianne’s own experience of insufficient support and safety, the organisation is committed to creating a reliable safety net one that ensures vulnerable people are not left isolated, unheard, or unprotected at a critical point in their lives.

To start our Champaign In February, a group of us will be taking part in a 5K run in Tianne’s honour. Through this challenge, we aim to raise £2,000 to support causes that reflect the values Tianne lived by and cared so deeply about.

Why We’re Raising Funds

All funds raised will be directed toward two vital causes:

Supporting Women Fleeing Domestic Violence

Helping provide safety, emergency accommodation, practical support, and advocacy for women and children escaping unsafe environments.

Suicide Prevention & Mental Health Support

Supporting early intervention, crisis services, and community-based mental health initiatives so people feel heard, supported, and protected before reaching breaking point.

No one should have to face fear, abuse, or mental health struggles alone. These causes represent hope, dignity, and the chance for a safer future — values Tianne stood for.
