Last year I ran the Great North Run half marathon for the first time and raised money for the Sick Children's Trust. Since then, I seem to have caught the running bug and have found myself entering the race again this year! So I have dusted off my trainers, pulled out the lycra, and started training. This year however, I would love to raise money for something more local to me and my family and friends. Acomb Primary School is a central part of my local community and the school of my daughter and many of my friends' children. At a time when budgets are being cut and funds are getting smaller I'd love to do what I can to give something back to this wonderful school.

So dig into your pockets folks and donate what you can to help me raise some money for Acomb Primary. Knowing I am running to raise money and having you all behind me will make every one of the 13.2 miles that little bit easier (apart from mile 11, which is a killer!!!).
