Salaam! Soooo, with Ramadhan fast approaching, I'm sure many of us are mindfully making mental notes as to which causes we'd like to support this year for both sadaqah (voluntary charity) and zakah too (giving 2.5% of your earning to charity). We naturally tend to think of those disadvantaged across the globe, as we rightfully should, but often there are people much closer to home that are in need of our assistance.

It has come to my attention that a close family friend of ours (brother Muhammad Abdul Muhith) in Bangladesh, Nabigonj (Habiganj) is currently living in poor conditions, the home is eroding and is close to ultimately becoming obsolete. As shown in the images above/below, the tin which forms the barriers of the home is perishing and the main infrastructure is barely holding upright. A home should be somewhere which we can reside in, seek comfort in and a place that should provide us with safety. With the adverse weather conditions that grace the lands of Bangladesh, it hurts to know that this is the reality of 'safe haven' for such forecasts.

Big changes can happen when there's a team on board, help us Help Build A Home and provide an environment that enables health and safety to flourish as opposed to perish.
