Story

As many of you know, I am a member of Soroptimist International Bingley (SI Bingley). In April 2019 we will be celebrating 70 years of continuous service to a wide variety of local, national and international projects which continue to educate and empower the lives of women and girls.
In recognition of this achievement we would like to donate £700 to STEM projects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) within the Soroptimist International Diamond Education Grant (www.sigbi.org) enabling women and girls who apply to develop their skills in these important areas.
Supported by my husband, John, I am cycling 70 miles over 2 days to hopefully raise SI Bingley’s donation of £700.
Day 1 (April 4th) will see us cycling along the Calder-Hebble Navigation and the Rochdale Canal from Mirfield to Hebden Bridge and back.

On Day 2 (April 5th) we will be cycling along the Leeds-Liverpool Canal from Silsden to Leeds and then back home to Saltaire.

Your support in helping to raise funds would be greatly appreciated.
As the mother of two daughters, I know just how privileged they have been to access superb educational opportunities enabling them to ‘make a difference’ in their chosen careers.
The vision of Soroptimist International Bingley is to ensure such opportunities continue for women and girls in the future.
