On Friday 1 September 2017, players from Kingstonian Cricket Club, Lambeth Council, MOJ CC and some other ringers played in a special charity cricket match at the world famous Oval cricket ground in Kennington as part of a Pro Play Sports tournament.

Money will be split between two worthy causes.

Chance to Shine is a charity which is bringing cricket to thousands more young people in inner- city areas. It uses the game to increase aspiration, promote social cohesion and create opportunities in diverse communities affected by youth crime and anti-social behaviour. chancetoshine.org

Mental Health Mates is a peer support group for people with mental health issues. First set up in London by author Bryony Gordon, this small group provides regular meet-ups for people with mental health issues, where they could walk and talk without fear of judgement. It's mission is to expand and provide supportive groups nation-wide. mentalhealthmates.co.uk
