I've raised £150 to help Tsalanang Pre-school supported by Ripple Reading by taking part in a charity hike of Goat Fell

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have organised and am taking part in a charity hike, along with some friends, of the highest peak on the Isle of Arran – Goat Fell. This will take place on Thursday 5th October 2017.
I am currently volunteering in South Africa with Ripple Reading, who are a registered Non-profit Company, that focus on literacy and leadership development of children in disadvantaged communities.
Ripple Reading are working in a number of different less privileged schools in Johannesburg. The school which is very close to my heart and I am currently volunteering at is the Tsalanang Pre-school, which is for little kids up to the age of 6. Ripple Reading have been working with the Grade R class to develop the children’s education, prior to going into their first year of school, to give them the best possible chance of progressing well.
Due to the lack of financial support available, the school is in desperate need of new learning and development supplies. At the moment, the children do not have much of a play area and technology in the class room is non-existent.
By doing this hike I am looking to raise some money to allow Ripple Reading to purchase new learning aids and toys for the Grade R class at Tsalanang Pre-school. Any donations, regardless of amount, would be greatly appreciated. A little amount will do a lot in supporting and improving the learning experience of the children at the school.
Although the children have very little, they are some of the happiest children that I have ever met. Any donation will have a big impact in making a difference to the lives of the children that attend Tsalanang Pre-school.
