Story

On the 27th May 2018 I will be climbing Snowdon in Wales to raise money for The Beeches Mother and Baby Radbourne unit at the Royal Derby hospital in Derby.

There are only 14 other units of it's kind in England. The Beeches accommodates up to six mothers with their babies who are at risk of or experiencing mental health issues.

In January 2017 I became an inpatient at The Beeches with my five week old son as I was suffering with postnatal depression. After a two month stay at The Beeches I was discharged and had follow on care with the dedicated outpatient support community team.

The Beeches do an amazing job and their support to you and all of your family is second to none. I couldn't be more grateful to them for their outstanding care throughout my journey.

The money you help me raise will go towards therapeutic activities, crafts and equipment that is very much needed on the unit.

For anyone that knows me will know I'm not a fitness fanatic nor that I'm a great lover of heights. Climbing a mountain seemed a great idea as I know it'll be the hardest physical challenge I've ever done, but it's important to me that my journey continues, playing a small part in helping others who are admitted onto the unit.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my page. Please show your support by sponsoring me which can help change lives!
