SPONSORED FAST

I have been lucky enough to be offered a place in the Holyrood Malawi Project 2017 and in order to raise funds I have been challenged to eat a diet of only rice, beans and porridge for five days. To give me extra support my Mum, Dad and Amy have all decided to join me by fasting from Monday 14th November till Friday 18th November 2016.

Education is not compulsory in Malawi and many children drop out due to family and work commitments. Since 2008 the Holyrood Malawi Team has worked closely with Mary’s Meals with the aim of providing school children with an education and a daily bowl of porridge. This encourages the children to attend school so they receive not only a nutritious meal but a life enriching education. The team refurbish and decorate new classrooms to give the children better working conditions. In addition to this the team work closely with the children and distribute backpacks containing essential school equipment such as pencils etc. which brings the children so much joy.

I will be doing various fundraising activities throughout the year however, this page is solely to raise funds for the sponsored fast. Every donation no matter how big or small will help make a difference. Cheers troops!
